~Marking up the new years~

This post will be 1 gigantic post. I haven’t posted in so long because of my computer catching a massive virus, and well, I’ve had too m any trouble in the pass. So I decided to take off the internet, and wait for me to buy another little lap top for internet.

When I was working with the guy on the right, I was still decided how I wanted to send to them the colors. I can work on soft style shading but decided against it and go for a more gradient cuts thing because right now, I’m on “traditional mood” and cant work Photoshop fast enough to blend. I still don’t care for painter so I’m still not working on that program. Plus I don’t normally deal with character bios for BW comics. Other then that, I will deal with a cell shading for the bios but for cover work and official art I’ll go soft shading or traditional (since it’s a lot faster).

Like I said, I’m changing up styles for a more darker look to prepare for future works of art. I still think my work would be 13+ because its only a few curse words and some violence but the stories are still Action Adventure.  Listening to WebComics.com and reading up Bakuman helps me to understand how to ‘target’ market. After all, I’m sharing my comics for a reason. So I knew that my current style would have to evolve to something other then. Looking back at old works and checking out the new to further my abilities.  A fan art I did for the awesome webcomic Edepth, started up my curiosity to draw out this new style:
Because of this though, I had tried to enter the girls comic ground Strawberry Comics, but as they want the comics to center around the theme of love, I can’t join them. We’ll still be friends thought.

About Decisiveorigin.com )

You know, conventions are getting expensive for a beginner artists. Right now, Jacon wants to charge us 75$ for half a table and tickets but last year it was 25$ for tickets and 25$ for table. Why are they charging an extra 25$ for? I don’t really sell fan art  nor to do sit at my table on Saturday so that 25$ means a lot for new comer. I rather just do panels to show off my works. Also, going to pocket that money for the savings, resources or internet advertising. I’ve decided to write out Metrocon because they make it too hard to make panels there, and its an hour away drive. If I find someone to share the tables (already sold out) and a few people to care pool with I might go.  Still not going to Awa cause Hotel is too much for some one not into the game of monopolizing fan art like main of the artist of Georgia does (I like the artists in Florida. They have a lot of unique works to show in concept and style).  I’m still debating if I’ll still go to Afo. Megacon is cheap enough 50$ for tickets and table with a much broader market so I’ll still be going. I also decided not to go to NYCC because I don’t fell confident to show in a portfolio. Next year I’ll defiantly have money for NYCC and Portfolio to show off. I might pass by the illustrator’s show too to get into the illustrators’ market.
With manga getting to be increasingly expensive hobby (and lesser quality out put), I just got to look ‘out of the box’ for my self.

I’ve typed enough right?
Happy New Years
And look forward to lots of progress!
